Having drawn the sword from the stone, Arthur, watched by Guinevere and Merlin, establishes his right to the throne. Carrying the sword, the newly-crowned King enters into his many-towered castle at Camelot, Cornwall. The Legend of King Arthur

Arthur draws the sword from the stone as rightful heir to the throne, then enters crowned as king into his Court at Camelot, and emerges mounted, and surrounded by his knights. The lion represents the most courageous knights who, having hung their shields in the woods, have departed on their mission to seek the Unicorn, a mythical creature of the middle ages.
